Use a marker pen and make reference marks on the bricks through the holes of the box at each end.

With the correct drill and masonry bits though you can provide α secure mounting for a flower box on the brick wall under a window a skill that can be applied to other masonry projects.

Use the drill to insert galvanized decking screws that are 2 5 inches 6 4 cm into the upper back of the box and the top of the mounting brackets.
Purchase a window hanger for your box.
If there are already holes in the window box place the screws in them.
Hold the window box flush against the house just below the window casing.
Hold the window box up to the window in the desired location and with a pencil trace through the drilled holes in the back of the box so that you are transferring onto the walls of your house the corresponding location of the holes on the box.
Otherwise drill two holes in the box for the screws to fit into.
Set the window box down.
Step 5 brick.
Using screws attach the two d rings to the back of the window box.
Balance a carpenter s level on top of the box to ensure it is level.
Then we used the tapcon concrete anchors to attach the brackets to the house make sure they re level.
Use a box end wrench to tighten the lag screw into the wall anchor.
Most window boxes are designed for mounting to a window with screws so you ll have to shop around for a specialty window box that comes with hangers.

We borrowed a hammer drill from a friend but you can actually rent one from some home depot stores.
