The green substance is a combination of copper oxide and plasticiser which is conductive.

Replace the outlets with air tight electrical boxes or at least put gaskets under the face plates and anti draft plugs into the unused outlets.
The outlet spray it then blow it out and you will be good to go.

Anytime copper corrodes it gives off a green film.
Shut off power remove the outlet.

Wd 40 will clean and replace the moisture on the wires and in the box.
Spray with wd 40 and wipe it down.
If connected to a battery the subsequent corrosion can take the form of acid leakage.
Moisture has corroded the copper.
Apart from make your eyelid burn when you rub it like i did i might end up like that bloke.
Therefore whenever this green substance is found at socket outlets etc.
The green liquid is definitely coming out of both prongs on the plug only when current is passing through it.
This will make this hole in the wall air tight stop the hot and cold air drafts and keep the moisture away from the cold hence stopping the condensation.

Electrical wires are usually made from copper and as such prone to oxidation.
Apparently the copper wires in the plug are corroding.
